Renters beware! The legal system favors the landlord.

If your landlord takes you to court, make sure to get an attorney. One that knows housing laws for your state. States like GA in particular favor landlords. If you've paid your rent late and they return it to you because you didn't pay all the fees they've asked and an eviction is filed. Make sure you get an attorney and file an answer. You do have rights however, most judges don't want to listen to you.
